
New Delhi, 16 January (HC). The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has excluded former captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni from the annual contract 2019-20. The contract is effective for the period from October-2019 to September 2020. Dhoni's contract was still in Grade A. Dhoni has not played any international matches after the Indian team lost in the World Cup semi-final against New Zealand last year.
This time the BCCI has named captain Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah in the A-Plus category. At the same time, 11 players have been included in A grade, while five players have been given a place in B grade and eight in C grade. At the same time, Delhi's young fast bowler Navdeep Saini has been included in the contract for the first time. They have been included in the C category.
